Believe it or not but in today's video and blog we are going to be talking about why your dog is getting diarrhoea. As a matter of fact we are going to call it Diarrhoea Thursday!

You may think this is a funny topic to cover, but in fact one of the most common questions we get asked is "why does my dog have diarrhoea?". Obviously dogs having diarrhoea is a big problem.

Many people think that their dog having diarrhoea is quite normal. Some people have got use to their dog regularly having loose stools. Of course this shouldn't always be the case! 

There are a few things to look out for. One of the most common ones we have is the fact that people over feed their dog. Always make sure your'e giving your dog the correct amount of calories.

Another aspect is that your dog might be intolerant to certain types of food, brand of food and/or treats.

As an example, when you're feeding your dog raw food that doesn't contain quite enough bone in it, this can lead to diarrhoea. Bone is used to help firm up your dogs stools.

There are many things that could be causing your dog to have diarrhoea and there are loads of things you can do to correct this. Remember it isn't normal for your dogs to have it. If they have it for a long time this can cause other issues.
